The working class people I talk to, do not trust either the media or the "elites". Most feel that their enemy is the "elites" who control our government, academia, media, and business. They see themselves as being "at war" with the "blob" and have no stake in wars in Ukraine, Israel, or against China.
The people who believe the media are the educated classes, who would not make good soldiers as they are physically, and psychosocially not ready / able to fight / die in a war.
So why do the NATO think that the working class is going to be willing to enlist, and die for them? COVID destroyed any trust that the working class had in the institutions that run our society.
