Welcome to Gorilla Radio, recorded July 23rd, 2025
In France, Germany, and Britain citizens with the temerity to stand in solidarity with the benighted people of Palestine - currently objects of Israel's 21st Century Holocaust - are targets of law enforcement. Online cell phone videos depicting the brutality are rife; the latest featuring para-militarized police descending on their compatriots from teens to octogenarians. Some of the goon squad violence is pathological; deserving legal action itself. But among these three, (certainly not the only jurisdictions where even timorous expressions of dissent are ruthlessly stomped) Britain really stands out.
There, where Palestine is concerned, Free Speech is officially eradicated through the deployment of Section 12 of the UK's Terrorism Act 2000. That means voicing support for the non-violent protest collective, Palestine Action, recently proscribed a "terrorist organization" can have you facing a 14 year penalty. But you needed chant, or sing, or carry a placard to be charged; merely waving a copy of printed newspaper containing the the offensive word combination is enough - as one unhappy bloke discovered this week past.
